Favor Foundation is a public charity (P41444) local to Charleston, South Carolina that provides free food, clothes and job resources to South Carolina’s homeless, under served or poverty stricken individuals and Veterans in crisis.
Since the onset of our community outreach efforts in 2017 we have provided food, clothes and invaluable resources to over a thousand individuals in Charleston. In doing so we have partnered with several organizations throughout the Tri County area such as Project Street Outreach and Palmetto Goodwill to ensure that the needs of our community are being met in every way.
While Favor Foundation strives to keep the outreach mobile so that the needs can be met where they are found, we do provide several distribution locations where food and clothes can be obtained. Job resources and more extensive needs are addressed one on one with each client in a safe setting.
Barbering Plus 1750 Remount Road North Charleston - food and clothes
Seaside Family Medicine 1341 College Park Road Summerville – food
Sangaree Parks & Recreation Sangaree Parkway Summerville – food and clothes
Favor Foundation is not currently a 501(c)3 but is working towards that goal. We rely upon food drives, private donations and our own source of income to provide for the clients we can and we refer those whose needs we cannot meet directly to reliable, community focused organizations such as Project Street Outreach, Goodwill and Destiny’s Community Café.
We are a hands on organization. When we say we refer someone to an outside source if we are not able to meet the need directly we physically help the client get to the source of assistance and follow through until the need is fully met. The follow through is critical when dealing with a family that has been displaced or a Veteran that has not been receiving benefits.
We are in place to be a blessing to those that find themselves in crisis until contentment is reached.
Our mission is to provide Charleston, SC and surrounding area families that are experiencing food insecurity and homelessness with emergency food, clothing and resume creation and job search assistance free of charge. Prayer is always available and spiritual guidance recommendations provided when requested.
We count on our community to help secure funds, food, toiletry and household goods needed to help families rebuild their lives. Whether a person has become homeless or just needs temporary assistance with food and clothes we are there to help fill the need. If you are a local business needing to make a yearly donation or looking to hire someone right away, we encourage you to contact us first. Your donation stays right here in the lowcountry.
We can't thank our active duty military and Veterans enough for the sacrifices they make for our freedom. We offer guidance and referrals to resources like Project Street Outreach and through other local and state programs that help to provide food, clothes, toiletries as well as claims and benefit assistance.

"Be A Blessing" Outreach in the Chicora/Cherokee neighborhoods of North Charleston at the Gussie Green Community Center. We were able to feed over 200 Veterans, homeless and under served individuals.
Favor Foundation will be holding pop ups around the Charleston and Summerville area throughout the year in order to distribute backpacks of hope to our homeless.
Our next backpack of hope outreach is in the Summerville/Ladson area in April 2019. Volunteers are asked to contact Favor Foundation directly for further information regarding the backpack distributions as we are meeting the need in the field and not necessarily as a central location.
We will be providing non perishable can goods, toiletries, a list of resources nearby and a hot meal to those that we encounter.
We need the communities support by way of helping us collect non perishable can goods with pop tops, peanut butter/cheese crackers, water and toiletries. Please see a specific list of needs below. If you would like to sponsor a back pack with food, socks, toiletries and donate it, we will distribute it. We also have a supplier working with us to provide the back packs at $70 for a case of 48. Let us know if you want to be a backpack sponsor, the more we purchase the cheaper the per price!
We expect to provide over 300 backpacks to homeless individuals in the Charleston area over the remainder of the year. Will you help?
