Favor Foundation is a public charity (P41999) local to Charleston, South Carolina that provides free food, clothes and job resources to South Carolina’s homeless, under served or poverty stricken individuals and Veterans in crisis.
Since the onset of our community outreach efforts in 2017 we have provided food, clothes and invaluable resources to over a thousand individuals in Charleston. In doing so we have partnered with several organizations throughout the Tri County area such as Project Street Outreach and Palmetto Goodwill to ensure that the needs of our community are being met in every way.
While Favor Foundation strives to keep the outreach mobile so that the needs can be met where they are found, we do provide several distribution locations where food and clothes can be obtained. Job resources and more extensive needs are addressed one on one with each client in a safe setting.
Barbering Plus 1750 Remount Road North Charleston - food and clothes
Seaside Family Medicine 1341 College Park Road Summerville – food
Favor Foundation is not currently a 501(c)3 but is working towards that goal. We rely upon food drives, private donations and our own source of income to provide for the clients we can and we refer those whose needs we cannot meet directly to reliable, community focused organizations such as Project Street Outreach, Goodwill and Destiny’s Community Café.
We are a hands on organization. When we say we refer someone to an outside source if we are not able to meet the need directly we maintain communication with the referred organization to follow through until the need is fully met. The follow through is critical when dealing with a family that has been displaced or a Veteran that has not been receiving benefits.
We are in place to be a blessing to those that find themselves in crisis until contentment is reached.
Our mission is to provide Charleston, SC and surrounding area families that are experiencing food insecurity and homelessness with emergency food, clothing and resume creation and job search assistance free of charge. Prayer is always available and spiritual guidance recommendations provided when requested.
We count on our community to help secure funds, food, toiletry and household goods needed to help families rebuild their lives. Whether a person has become homeless or just needs temporary assistance with food and clothes we are there to help fill the need. If you are a local business needing to make a yearly donation or looking to hire someone right away, we encourage you to contact us first. Your donation stays right here in the lowcountry.
We can't thank our active duty military and Veterans enough for the sacrifices they make for our freedom. We offer guidance and referrals to resources like Project Street Outreach and through other local and state programs that help to provide food, clothes, toiletries as well as claims and benefit assistance.

Last but not least we welcome EXPEDITORS, a logistics and IT group from Charleston. This company has blessed us with a monitary donation that comes right on time. Thank you for being a Favor supporter.
Favor Foundation held a back to school outreach on July 13th at Jeanene Batten Community Center and we were so blessed with an abundance of awesome volunteers.
At this event we provided bags of food, school supplies, hot dogs, hamburgers, games for the kids and face-painting as well as a fire truck and motorcycles to view and blood pressure checks. We want to thank Indian Motor Cycle Riding Club #1988 from Ladson and Expeditors for their contributions to this event as well as
Mrs. Mary Parler Freeman for doing our wellness checks.
The volunteers were incredible and we can't thank you all enough. We had repeat volunteers from as far away as Walterboro and new volunteers as close as Joint Base Charleston. A special shout out to Teck Sgt. William Anderson, Head Training Instructor and Flight Chief at 315th Air Wing Development & Training Program for providing the bulk of our volunteers who did everything from bag groceries and help client to their cars to manning the grill. They were definately a much needed show of support and they came strong! We salute you all.
We will be holding pop ups around the North Charleston, West Ashley and Summerville area throughout the year in order to distribute backpacks of hope to the homeless and bags of groceries to the underserved and impoverished. Donations are always needed and additional resources are needed. We want to be sure the areas we serve know where they can get help year round. If your agency provides for the homeless, food insecure and Veterans please let us know so we can pass that information onto our clients. Homeless shelters are scarce in Charleston and if you have openings we want to know that too. Please email us FavorChasSC@gmail.com or call us at 843-779-7719.
